Email marketing is not dead. One of the big reasons why email has remained so powerful over the years is that it’s quite easy to segment one’s list and only send content to people who actually want/need it–people can be added or dropped from lists in a second. Compare this with Facebook ads, which require users to take an action (such as installing an app) to create a “Target Audience”. It seems that people find themselves relying on Facebook ads less and less these days in favor of running AdWords campaigns–but when your business depends on generating leads and conversions in order for revenue, there’s really no good replacement for email marketing.

Rober, You make some good points. Facebook Ads do still offer the highest value of all the online advertising options. Though, AdWords also offers good value. Email is the oldest and largest social network. People still check their email, and they customize what they want to see based on what they subscribe to. Email marketing should be part of any successful online marketing strategy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, ~Keri

  4. You can get access to a team of experienced and qualified experts by working with a digital marketing agency. Some big companies are paying the top buck just to hire and retain top talent. This means that the cost of hiring such experts can be quite high.

Hi there, If a business needs help with email marketing, they might hire a team of experts from a digital marketing agency, yes. While you mention price, smart professionals work on the basis of providing value to the customer. In turn, they are paid for their work, their time, and value provided. The same would be true for the business hiring the team, so there should be an equal playing field. Fees for marketing should be considered an investment that will bring more than fees paid … if working with smart, qualified professionals. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, ~Keri
